Shakeel Ahanger, husband of Neelofar Jan, and brother of Asiya Jan, burns a copy of the CBI chargesheet for Shopain alleged rape and murders case outside the high court of Indian administered Kashmir. The CBI chargesheet submitted to high court on Dec 14 indicts six doctors, four lawyers and two civilians for “fabricating evidence” allegedly to harm security personnel. The CBI report, condemned by victim family and Shopain residents body Majlis Mashawarat, said that the two, Neelofar Jan and Asiya Jan had drowned accidentally. Asiya Jan’s body was found at a spot in Rambiara branch with less than one feet of water. Residents and civil groups in Indian administered Kashmir accused the CBI of a cover up.
