Jan 30, 2007: Kashmiri Shiite Muslims take part in a religious ritual to flagellate themselves in Srinagar, summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir Tuesday. Hundreds of thousands of Shiites today took part in number of processions all round the state to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.) on this holy day of Ashura, which is the climax of a ten-day of period of mourning during the Islamic holy month of Moharram./ Altaf Zargar
